Sexy Daal

Yes, that's the name of the yummy-licious Dal that I make...One of my close friend after tasting my Dal named it so... And every time he says that, my short nose just gets longer by an inch... :)

Don't really remember when I first started making it but nevertheless, I can bet the taste is unbeatable.. I'm okay to take challenges whoever says that they can make a better Daal than me.. :P

I'm not selfish when it comes to sharing so I would definitely give out the recipe.. No claps for this..!!!

What makes the Dal that I make "sexy" is the correct proportion of every ingredient. If you follow the steps below, you can definitely make your Dal sexy too... that's my promise...So, here I go...

• First take a handful of "Masoor Dal" (my favorite, I hardly eat any other kind of Dal) in a pressure cooker and wash it 2-3 times. After draining the water, add of a cup fresh water (or more depending on the thickness that you want).
• Cut onions, green chillies and tomatoes and add them to the Dal and the water. Add salt, turmeric powder and a little bit of Garam Masala.
• Add 2 tea spoons of cooking oil (mustard or sunflower oil) and close the lid of the pressure cooker.
• Let it cook till the pressure cooker "whistles" 3 times.
• Take it off the gas stove and put aside

Frying:

• Crush fresh garlic cloves (after peeling off the skin) by using a pestle. A sufficient amount of garlic is needed for "the sexy taste"...
• Chop onions, green chillies keep aside with the crushed garlic cloves. Chop tomatoes also and keep aside.
• Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds when the oil is hot. After the mustard seeds splutter add zeera (cumin seeds) and kaala zeera.
• Add the chopped onions, chillies and crushed garlic to the oil.
• Fry till golden brown and then add sliced tomatoes and cook for some more time.
• After the tomatoes have cooked add some more garam masala or any other masala you would like to add.
• Pour the boiled Dal into this fried mixture.
• Cook for 10 minutes and add freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with white rice.

P.S- The main ingredients that make the Dal yummy is garlic and coriander leaves. You can never go wrong if you follow the above steps... :) So, try it and let me know how your Dal turned out.. and...was it SEXY???

The Lazy me ..!!

When I first started writing this blog, I swore to myself that I would update it regularly....I promised myself I would write at least twice a week... Alas..!!!

I haven't been able to update it even once a week... I don't think I would have enough to read when I grow old (which is my sole intention of writing this blog, to read it when I grow old, I will at least have something to laugh about)... So, here's another PINKY PROMISE... I promise I would update it as much as I can....if I am not LAZY...

Yes, the reason I haven't updated my blog recently is because I have become very very LAZY... I have fallen in love with SLEEP...!!! 9 hours of sleep is just not enough for me...I end up snoozing my alarm clock too many times... I'm sure if my alarm had life in it, it would have committed suicide a couple of times by now...!!

Not only that, these days I just run short of words.. I think of writing something and while I'm still writing, I forget what I wanted to write.... Grrr.. and my posts end up as "Drafts" waiting to be completed and published...Sob sob!! at this rate I would never become a successful Blogger... :( unless some MAGIC happens...

P.S- While I'm writing this I've already yawned a couple of times..but no, no..I'm not sleeping so soon.. It's only 1 o'clock.. I shall write at least another post before I doze off...!!!

I want to shout out loud

Dedicated to all the people who like poking into my life... and make my life miserable.. and I already mentioned at the welcome page of my blog that I will assault all the people I hate, right HERE...

• Just because I write stuff that is already written by someone else doesn't mean that I'm not creative or I copy.... It's a coincidence that whatever I am feeling is written by someone else.... Among the millions and millions of people in this world, can no 2 people have the same thought? And the same words?? This goes for the people who say that my writing is copied.. or my FB status updates are copied from somewhere....!!!

•  Just because, I am quiet doesn't mean I am wrong and you can assume whatever you want to, about me... If you have a problem with me, TELL ME..not anyone else...!!!

• Just because I wear skimpy and revealing clothes doesn't mean my Character is bad and I am the Easy Going types... My clothes may be short, but I am definitely not SHORT of Morality... So, don't judge me by the CLOTHES I wear...!!!

• Just because I'm SINGLE doesn't mean no one wants to be with me.. It could be that I like it that way.. and also doesn't mean that I date any Tom, Dick and Harry....So, don't try to flirt with me seeing my FB relationship status...!!!

•  Just because I'm not yet married at the age of 27 doesn't mean that no one wants to get married to me... It could just mean that I M NOT READY yet..!!!

• Just because I am sweet to you doesn't mean I like you... It could just be that I M LIKE THAT WITH EVERYONE.. you don't have to give special credits to me for that... and you definitely don't have to fall in love with me for that..!!!

• Just because I take time to understand things doesn't mean I'm DUMB... I'm also INTELLIGENT sometimes.. this goes out to all my dear friends.. I know you guys love me and I do too.. :) No hate for you guys, just LOVE..!!

• Just because I keep laughing all the time doesn't mean I am always HAPPY.. I can also feel sad sometimes.. :) After all, I am also a Human. and no one's life is perfect...

• Just because I have most MALE friends doesn't mean that I am Character less.. It can just mean that I get along better with them.. at least they are good SECRET KEEPERS...and wouldn't bitch about you at the back..!!

And just because I don't show it, doesn't mean that I don't LOVE you.. It just means that I want you to UNDERSTAND even before I show it...!!!

P.S.. Looks like my Hate Blog has ended in a Love Blog.. Anyone Complaining??

Devil in plastic

Come Monday morning and enters the devil..... Am I the only one who thinks so? Isn't everyone annoyed by the devil? Yes, I'm talking about the Devil in Plastic... the Alarm Clock..!!! 

Well, don't go by the literal meaning because these days your alarm is not in plastic but  most probably it's your mobile phone that acts as your alarm.... 

The disadvantage of your phone acting as an alarm is that when you are in deep sleep and it rings, you can not throw it.. if you happen to throw it and if you possess a costly phone then you are certainly at a loss...!!

I certainly love my phone acting as an alarm though.. I can keep on snoozing and sleeping... that 5-10 minutes of sleep after you press the snooze button is the world's greatest bliss....Sometimes if I have to get up at 9am, I put an alarm for 8:00am and put the snooze time of 10 minutes and let the alarm interrupt my sleep every 10 minutes... :) Crazy that I am... :) But I absolutely love the interrupted sleep... !!

So, here's to all the people who love snoozing and sleeping.. .Happy SNOOZING...!!!

P.S- It's 1:00 am on a Monday morning and so, I have to now go and grab a sleep so that I can snooze and sleep and finally wake up at 9:00am..Good night...
